Me: – Okay, but why is Venus in exile specifically in Aries? I mean, why Aries and not, for example, Gemini?
Experts: – Well, because Aries is also the domicile of Mars, so…
Me: – Yeah, okay, I know, but why is Aries the domicile of Mars?
Why are the Mutable Signs specifically Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini, and Pisces and not others?
Why are the Earth Signs feminine? Couldn’t the Fire Signs have been feminine instead?
Why is the Sun in fall in Libra and not in another Sign?
Why is the Moon considered the unconscious and not Venus?
I mean, why does this particular system exist and not a different one?
How can I accurately and confidently interpret my birth chart if I don’t understand exactly what I’m doing and why I’m doing it?

Is this course about traditional astrology or modern astrology?
Well, the right answer to this might be: Both.
I don’t believe in the net distinction between traditional and modern astrology. Thinking Astrologically is centered on the 7 Personal Planets, so it doesn’t include Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, but the reason is that the first 7 Planets are those more connected to the individual and personal sphere of the human being, and not because they are “traditional” or “modern”.
As I said before, I think that the net distinction between traditional and modern is not correct. The task of today’s astrologers is to continue the work of the ancient masters and not overturn thousands of years of knowledge. Our job must be expanding and integrating, it’s not throwing down what has been done during the last 7.000 years (at least) of astrological art.
This is what I personally believe, so it doesn’t matter what you are interested in, modern or traditional; Thinking Astrologically will be useful to you in any case because in the big picture I integrate the whole knowledge of all the celestial mechanics and their meanings in our lives.
